Pheidole cervicornis n. sp. (Tab. VIII. fig. 25.)
Worker. Rusty-brown, rugose, dark, shining legs, superbly hairy, base of gaster yellowish. Head oval, grooved longitudinally-wrinkled, mandible striate, scape slightly exceeds occipital margin, articles 3-9 length scarcely thicker, slightly thick club. Thorax wrinkled, promesonotum elevated above propodeum, anteriorly both spines long and bifutcated, posterior thorns straight. From dorsum of epinotum projects shorter spines two large ends each branch with shorter anterior and longer posterior compressed portions. Petiole slender, dark conical node, spiky; postpetiole small, transversely oval. Gaster sleek, part of front whitish and subopaque. - L. • 2 mm.
Lemien: single specimen. The thoracic forked spines distinguish it from all congeners. Soldier ignored.

Pheidole cervicornis n. sp. (Tab. VIII. fig. 25.)
Operaria. Fusco-ferruginea, rugosa, opaca, pedibus nitidis, copiose pilosa, gasteris basi flavescente. Caput ovatum, longitrorsum sulcato-rugosum, mandibulis striatulis, scapo marginem occipitis paulo superante, articulis 3-9 longitudine sua haud crassioribus, clava modice incrassata. Thorax rugosus, promesonoto elevato, superne planato, antice utrinque spina longa bifutcata, postice spinula erecta. Epinotum superne eminentia trunciformi in spinas binas magnas desinente, quarum unaquaque in ramum anteriorem breviorem et posteriorem longiorem compressum partitur. Petiolus gracilis, opacus, nodo conico, acuto; postpetiolus parvus, transverse ovalis. Gaster nitidus, parte anteriore albida, subopaca. - L. 2•mm.
Lemien: specimen unicum. Ob spinas thoracis furcatas inter omnes congeneres insignis. Miles ignoratur.
