How to use the Antweb module

The latest eol.xml can be found here:  http://www.antweb.org/web/eol/

Steps:

  1. Open  http://pheidole.myspecies.info/admin/structure/eolapi_specimen
  2. Upload new eol.xml (or use already uploaded if it exists)
  3. Choose specimen content type: Specimen/Observation
  4. Choose catalogue number field: SpecimenCode
  5. If you need to process XML on submit, use checkbox. Otherwise, you will save settings and upload eol.xml with no processing. If you decide to upload new xml or change settings only, then disable checkbox.
  6. Submit the form.

If eol.xml processing is selected then batch process will be started. It can take a long time.

If the file imports correctly and the module works as expected, specimen images from Antweb should appear on the media tab of taxon pages. For example, images of Pheidole megacephala from Antweb should appear here: http://pheidole.myspecies.info/taxonomy/term/352/media.
